Silver Remembers Where It Sank.“In 1715, a Spanish fleet heavy with silver sailed into a hurricane off the Florida coast and never sailed out. Three centuries on, the reales still wash ashore after storms — and Florida Man still walks the tide line, collecting what the Gulf forgot to keep.”
✦ Edge-numbered 001–150 · One number, three places · 2% of net proceeds back to the Sea
The Sea · 1 oz .999 Silver · Tideglass Finish™ · First Tide Release of 150
Not slabbed. Treasure-cased. Every coin ships Treasure-cased in Florida Man Mint™’s own crystal-clear collector holder, built to be opened: glove on, thumb the latch, feel the weight, read the number on the edge, put her back. The label is no paper insert: it’s a struck Rare Metal label, minted like the coin it guards, carrying the coin number and Authentication ID beneath a scannable seal that verifies in the live Official Registry.
Each standard Florida Man Mint™ release begins with a strictly numbered First Tide Release of 150 coins. If collector demand is strong, Florida Man Mint™ may authorize additional standard-release coins, but the total mintage for each design will never rise past its High-Water Mark of 500 pieces. Only coins numbered 001–150 qualify as the official First Tide Release.
Each coin’s serial number is struck on its edge and matched to its numbered Certificate and the Official Registry — one number, three places, impossible to fake.
The plain facts of the coin, the same ones on its certificate.
A coin is only as trustworthy as its paper trail. Every Florida Man Mint strike is numbered, recorded, and entered into our Official Registry — a permanent, verifiable record of exactly what you own.
Individually numbered certificate — your First Tide Release number, 001–150, hand-signed by Florida Man.
Entered in the Official Registry — that serial is logged in a live, permanent ledger and verifiable forever by its Authentication ID. Real provenance, impossible to counterfeit.
Treasure-cased 1 oz .999 fine silver — assayed and verified, Treasure-cased behind a struck Rare Metal label (never paper) before it ever sees a box.
Built to hold value — a registered, documented coin is a tracked asset, not a trinket. Provenance is what collectors pay for, and what protects your coin down the years — 4x6 certificate, story postcard, velvet pouch and the Florida Man Mint box in every order.

The certificate swears to the coin. The coin backs it in silver.
See the Spear →The Gulf keeps secrets — your certificate does not. Every legend of the Sea is numbered, recorded, and sworn into the Official Registry before it slips into the night. What is recorded can be proven — and what is proven holds its worth.

Read the Sea’s Share pledge →You have read the Sand's ledger. But the Gulf keeps its darkest treasure after midnight — storms, shipwrecks, and silver that doesn't ask permission. The other half of the legend is waiting.
Trade the storm for sunshine — treasure maps, palm shade, and tales worth telling twice. The Sand remembers what the water forgets, and it has been keeping your seat warm.
Most of what we strike reaches the shelf. The best of it never does. The High Tide Society is the inner circle of Florida Man Mint — the collectors the tide finds first, four to six times a year, every year.
Here is how it works on our side of the water. Four to six times a year the Mint strikes a coin that will never be sold to the public. Not late, not re-released, not “back by popular demand.” Four hundred and fifty pieces, struck once, offered only to members, and then the die retires to the bottom of a very deep drawer. Miss a tide and that legend belongs to somebody else forever.
Membership is one seat, one price, no fine print with teeth. You get first claim on every member strike, the lowest numbers we mint, and a letter we actually enjoy writing. It is a privilege sworn under the lantern — and the Founding roll is open.
